This week saw the launch of the Big Trunk Trail – a unique public outdoor art event for Luton, organised by Keech Hospice Care. The event will feature over 30 elephant sculptures, each sponsored by a local business and individually designed by artists.
In the summer, the sculptures will feature in a trail around the town, providing a free outdoor activity for all the family to enjoy. At the end of the trail, the elephants will be auctioned to raise vital funds for Keech Hospice Care.
Luton Hoo hosted the event, which was presented by Linsey Frostick, Chair of Love Luton with the unveiling of the first elephant. An audience of local businesses and stakeholders joined a video conference featuring a presentation by Liz Searl – Keech CEO.
This will be an amazing event for the town and an opportunity to support the incredible work that Keech Hospice care provides in the community. We are delighted to have supported the launch with printed sponsorship packs, souvenir postcards and enamel pin badges.
Like everyone else we are excited to see the creative designs for each of the exhibits, including a smaller herd of elephants that will reside in local schools. For more information please visit www.bigtrunktrail.co.uk
